My 3 year old nephew
Just looked at me from across the table during lunch and said the following...

"You're an asshole"

Apparently he HAS been paying attention.

1. Yesterday, I had to slam on the brakes and my 5-year-old said:
"Jesus H Christ!". Daddy's trying to watch his language now.

2. my 8 year old almost said
Dad's an Ass.. but he caught himself before he got it out... not sure where that came from, because we don't talk like that.

I had a friend whose little ones used to go around saying "Dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit, jsut like my friend. Needless to say, she had to watch herself.

3. Why'd he call you an asshole?
Or was he just trying out new vocab? :)

4. I'm hoping he was just stretching the vocab

It's not like I wouldn't let him have a cookie!

He said it very sweetly. I'm quite sure he has no idea what it means.

5. My 6 year old son wanted to know who Bill Clinton was and why he...
makes me swear. I blame everything on Clinton and say "Damn You Bill Clinton!" any time somethings gets screwed up.

I had to inform him that Bill was president, I like him very much but I also like the Daily Show where I learned such crass language. Needless to say we stayed up late one night to watch the Big Dog rapping with Jon.
