Solve This ZombyWoof Brain-Teaser!
A man walks out of the 14th Street subway tunnel, and hails a cab to uptown, where his favorite hot dog stand is located.

The subway moved north 15 miles at a speed of 70mph, and the hot dog stand moved southeast at a pace of 2mph, into a wind blowing 7 mph.

The hot dog vendor, moving at a speed of 3mph west, arrived at work at 11AM, in time for the lunch hour rush. He had all of his condiments, including jalapeños, which move at a speed of .15 mph down your esophagus.

The man on the subway was carrying the morning edition of his local paper, and reading the box scores. Today, he did not stop for a shoeshine, because he had to get that cab before one of those pushy tourists beat him to it.

The man walked past a faded billboard for a long-departed musical, and stepped into a pile of dog poo by mistake.

The hot dog vendor had actually remembered to pick up milk on the way home the night before, and the man on the subway had remembered where he left his wife's keys, so that the pushy tourist was forced to walk 2 more blocks northeast at a speed of 5mph before getting a cab driven by a person with poor dental hygiene.

Keeping in mind that:

1. The home team won the game, with the pitcher giving up only 4 hits in 8 1/3 innings with 7 K's, and...

2. The hot dog vendor failed his health inspection in 1998, and...

3. The subway man's wife works for the largest bank in town, and...

4. The pushy tourist did not tip their cab driver...

The question is...

What time did the dog take its poo?

4. What subway train goes 70 mph?!
Edited on Thu Aug-26-04 09:56 PM by pagerbear
And why bother with a cab if he's already on the subway? Traffic, expensive fares, crazy cab drivers.....

What hot dog vendor moves whilst selling? They get the spot--some fight for prime spots!--and stay there as long as folks want to buy hot dogs.

Feh! Clearly this quiz was written by someone not from NYC!

5. It had to be at 11:00PM the night before....
...That's when all New Yorkers who don't want to be bothered scooping up dog pooh and also don't want to be reported by their neighbors, thus paying a stiff fine, walk their dogs. And it doesn't matter how big or small a New York dog is, their sh*t is still about 4 to 5 kilos because New Yorkers only make time to walk their dogs once a day. Am I right?

12. The location is irrelevant, your question only asked about the time...
...the same circumstances would apply regardless of most American urban areas. Probably fewer than 10 U.S cities have subways. So my time stands, give or take 45 minutes.
