? about satellite radio
Just about all we get here in OK is rw "nooze" shows and crappy music. So, in the interest of saving our sanity, we're getting satellite radio. Any opinions DUers? We've looked at XM and Sirirus. Which is better?

1. Sirius gets my vote
Sirius has all of Air America Radio, XM doesn't. Also, Clear Channel has a financial interest in XM.

2. Sirius by a longshot
I bought it specifically for Air America. Sirius plays it all and XM only plays an hour of it on their liberal talk channel. I love the music and what really did it for me was Sirius has a 24 hour NFL talk station and they cover all the NFL games and some preseason games for no extra charges. Seems like Sirius is doing a lot to add new channels and services too.

3. Sirius is the only choice
Sirirus is much better than XM because they have the Randi Rhodes show in its entirety on Air America and they have the separate Talk Left network with a variety of other Liberal voices.

4. XM
their new contract to carry ACC basketball and football games is a deal breaker for me :)

but if talk radio is your primary interest, then go with sirius.

5. Thanks all
We are mostly interesting in listening to AAR without having to sit at the computer for hours! And as big football fans, the NFL stuff sounds great.

6. Some errors in the statements about XM.
1. Clear Channel has less than 2% interest in XM, and they're getting rid of that. Hardly a reason for concern.

2. XM carries more than one hour of Air America. They carry Morning Sedition, Unfiltered, Al Franken and The Majority Report in full. Since the time change for Majority Report, I am not sure if they play Randi Rhodes any more. They have Ed Schultz on at 3. Alas, XM does not currently carry Mike Malloy. However, I can always listen to it online, so that's not a big deal. There's a big push to get the full Air America lineup, though.

7. Sirirus with Air America all Day the best!
Sirirus has great customer service. You can't miss Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy.
