Anybody else watching UFC tonight?
It should be a really good one tonight. Hopefully Belfort-Couture will be a little longer and more decisive this time.

My coworkers really get into it.

How long do the matches usually go for?

3. Three five-minute rounds
for regular fights, five five-minute rounds for championship fights. Most of the fights did not go the distance tonight.

Randy Couture beat Vitor Belfort for the light-heavyweight title due to a stoppage after the third round. He then challenged Pride champion Vanderlie Silva, who was in the crowd. Silva came to the octagon and the two agreed that they would like to fight to unify their titles.

Chuck Liddell knocked out Vernon "Tiger" White in a really exciting match.

David Terrell knocked out Matt Lindland fairly quickly..I think this was considered an upset.

Justin Eilers knocked out Matt Kyle in the first round...I think Eilers is going to be a title contender.

Yves Edwards knocked out Josh Thompsen with a spinning, flying kick that seemed to come out on nowhere.

Chris Lytle defeated Ronald Jhun with a guillotine choke.

Karo Parysian won a unanimous decision over Nick Diaz. It was from earlier in the evening, so they only showed part of it, but it looked like the best grappling match of the night.

Joe Riggs knocked out Joe Doerksen

They announced that Tito Ortiz will face Guy Mezgher in October.

4. love mixed martial arts and thanks for the spoilers
Can't afford to buy the show. Randy Couture is a great athlete. Too bad about Nick Diaz. He's a local boy and a tough kid.

5. Split decision
I caught an error on my earlier post and the editing deadline had passed. Parysian's vicory over Diaz was a split decision, not a unanimous one.
