What scared me was the ghost of Jacob Marley in the 1951 version of "A Christmas Carol".

7. Sometimes I think kiddie movies keep us all in therapy.
Remember the boogey men in "March of the Wooden Soldiers?" If you're a baby boomer and lived in the NYC area, you'll know precisely what I mean. That movie was shown every year.

I also freaked out pretty badly when the Nazis showed up in "The Sound of Music."

9. Michael Jackson scared the crap out of me as a kid!
I saw the Thriller video on television when I was very young, and it scared me so much that after that, just hearing the song on the radio would send me running from the room screaming.
