2. What the hell did I miss, CStheT?
Please tell me what the hell is going on. It sounds like you're saying that ShrubCo is tampering with the Venezuelan elections; is there any proof of this? And since when do they use touchscreens?

4. the US has been fucking with Venezuela all along - through Colombia, the
failed 2000 coup, helping the media monopolizing Oligarchy...ect.

They adopted touchscreenery months ago. :(

The referendum is on - Hugo will prevail - if the people aren't jawboned!

6. I am grossly uninformed on this subject.
Do you have any resources for me to develop some background knowledge on this?

TROPICAL STORM EARL DISCUSSION NUMBER 10
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
11 PM EDT SUN AUG 15 2004

IF NOT FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF VENEZUELA THIS PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN
THE LAST ADVISORY ON EARL...AT LEAST FOR NOW. THE RECONNAISSANCE
AIRCRAFT SCHEDULED TO INVESTIGATE EARL THIS EVENING WAS DENIED
ACCESS TO VENEZUELAN AIRSPACE. HAD THEY BEEN ABLE TO GET TO THE
STORM...I DOUBT THEY WOULD HAVE FOUND A CLOSED CIRCULATION...AS THE
QUIKSCAT AMBIGUITIES AT 22Z LOOK MORE LIKE AN OPEN WAVE.
HOWEVER...THERE IS ENOUGH DOUBT TO KEEP ADVISORIES GOING UNTIL THE
NEXT AIRCRAFT ARRIVES TOMORROW MORNING...AND INDICATIONS ARE THAT
THAT MISSION WILL BE ALLOWED TO PROCEED.

Does anyone think this is rather strange?

7. Just to be specific
Edited on Sun Aug-15-04 10:44 PM by Katarina
The reason I asked about this email is could it be they are afraid the US is spying or what? I don't put anyting past BushCo.

Edit to add, my husband said the same thing. He said it was very contradictory.

9. This Election Has Been Weighing on My Mind All Day
I've prayed several times that the will of the people prevails. Keeping the polls open late can only bode well for Hugo Chavez.
