I just got done fixing my fence. I was outside only for about an hour. I'm drenched with sweat. The heat index has got to be over 100. Cool shower time right now.

It was 108 in the attic we were clearing. I can really sympathize with you being drenched right now... enjoy the shower! :)

6. Is it ever cold in the upper mid west
The last few days the temps have been in the mid 60's. Today we haven't gone above the 60 degree mark. 59 is the high for today. And this is AUGust? :wtf: We should be sweltering in the 90's with ungodly humidity this time of year.

I really hate when it rains in the middle of the day. Creates nasty humidity off the asphalt.

Try sitting under my ceiling fan on a 90-degree Seattle day. No really, try it!;)

16. All things considered,
It's been a downright enjoyable summer so far in Dallas. I think we've hit 100 degrees once. And had lots more rain than usual. I played golf twice last weekend and barely broke a sweat. Very unusual for August in north Texas. My advice to you ... cold beer! :-)

21. Send a little heat up here
and I will send you some cool breezes. It is 73 here in Kansas, was 56 this morning. Last year at this time it was well over 100 and had been for weeks. My pastures had dried up and died and I was misting the horses daily. We probably have not used our air conditioner more than 5 times this summer. Strange.

23. It ain't the heat it's the humidity at 94%!
Here in balmy East Texas the temp is not bad at 90° but wait add in the humidity at 94% and the heat index is 105°.

25. Scorcher in north Texas too
I walked up to my daughter's school to pick her up. MISTAKE. Drenched with sweat five minutes into it and I am not generally a sweaty person. And I'm quite accustomed to TX heat. But DAYUM. Damn hot, agreed.

26. It'll be better tomorrow
A cold front is coming through. We're going to be in the mid sixties in North Texas this week and low eighties for a couple of days. For mid August, that's pretty bizarre. It's going to show up in central Texas too.
