Not that they're a couple. Not that I'm that funny, but I am married to Elaine, and I do have dumb hair.

16. Are Beany & Cecil a same-sex couple? Hmmmm.
Edited on Tue Aug-10-04 10:29 AM by Snow
And what sort of relationshiip was that? Beany always seemed like far the brighter of the two, but he kept having to be rescued by Cecil ("I'm comin', Beany-boy!")

Also, you forgot Jeff & Lassie (forget little Timmy - damn kid had only one trick - falling into wells). And Rintintin and whatsisface.

And, you forgot the founders of the happy suburban couple routine: Ozzie & Harriet. And the founders of the silly couple routine: Lucy & Desi. Okay, maybe not - George and Grace did it much better than Lucy & Desi ever did, and Gracie didn't have Lucy's screechy voice. Hmmm. Now that I think about it, I have an awful suspicion that my wife & I are a George & Gracie couple.

On edit: Oooh-ooh - what about Beavis & Butthead - or is that Tom & Jerry again?

23. Most of your suggestions did make the final 20 or so.....
Lucy & Ricky were too obvious. As were Ozzie and Harriet. I figured that Ward & June were a better selection anyway. I also considered Gearge and Gracie.

I draw the line at mixed species relationships. Therefore, Timmy and Lassie were not included.

weren't they? Okay, Cecil was, a, ummmm, mythical beast (sea-sick sea serpent), but still. So Lassie & Rintintin weren't sapient?

And although my hair is not blue, it is big. So Marge for me.

We lack the annoying kids, but in our own goofy way, we do love each other in that warped Simpsons way.

He has that John Cleese fixation, you know. ;-) Unfortunately, I don't spend nearly enough time on the phone. We'd have to be Polly and Basil for it to work, as I feel like I'm always cleaning up messes and getting suckered into schemes. :-)

Ozzy and Sharon (without the dysfunctional children, of course)more accurately mirrors our lifestyle at present. Michael: likes to wander around the house in his bathrobe mumbling and confused, brilliant when performing. Me: Nagging, strong-willed & opinionated with a talent for management. Too many animals running around the house.

Though I think she might put up some resistance to the idea. I don't have a problem seeing you as Gomez, with the exception of the suits. Seeing as I've rarely seen you out of a t-shirt and jeans, I just don't see that happening. ;-)

Strangely enough, I used to strongly resemble Morticia, as done by Anglica Huston (though I alwasy wished I looked like the Caroline Jones version). Alas, as I age, the jet black hair was a little too unforgiving, if you know what I mean.

I even owned a double-breasted pin-stripe. It shouldn't be too long now, and I will morph into Gomez. It will happen, sooner or later.

And C. looks very much like Carolyn Jones. Moreso than anyone I've ever met. Just look at my avatar and try to imagine her with long black hair....it's a match!!!

We take turns? I don't know... I don't think we've settled into any "roles". It's just our personalities that seem to match the characters.

However with Paul and Jamie, the story lines themselves were VERY close to many events in our real lives.
