4. a poor taste joke
people having strokes often have olfactory hallucinations. Aspirin within the first hour of having a stroke can often save a life.

I can smell cigarette smoke from the car in front of me whilst driving on the freeway.

smell smoke in passing cars. Maybe you're part wolf or something.

One of my friends says that riding in a car for dogs is like watching an olfactory movie, just smelling all the passing scents.
