Why aren't the networks showing the convention in High Def?

I've got a high def receiver and ABC/CBS/NBC aren't showing anything in high definition - bummer!

Update: Just found it in on DirecTV High Def channel 79 - very cool! (I know DirecTV is owned by Murdoch...)

The networks aren't supposed to start major coverage until the 10 PM hour my time (in 50 minutes).
