5. It could be worse

You could have had to do what I did the other day. I'm a trucker and I had to drive 500 miles the other day. Half way through the trip I had to switch trailers in the rain. I also had to take off a king pin lock from the trailer so I could hook to it and it was covered with grease and I had no gloves. I managed to get most of the grease off with a paper towel, but my hands were still stained. I got so wet changing the trailers that the next day the clothes that I wore on that run were still wet. I had to drive 250 miles in wet clothes. It was 80 degrees out and I had the heater on in the truck trying to stay warm and dry off.

9. Count your blessings

I went back to college so I could get one of those office jobs. Turned out college and me weren't compatible. But truck driving isn't too bad most of the time, it's just that when you have a bad day in trucking it's usually really bad. There are definitely worse jobs I can imagine, though.

10. with my job..

i get every friday off, giving me three day weekends all summer! plus, i still work 35 hours a week, so no drop in pay...
