Ladies, name some things your mom does you've SWORN you will never do?
and have you succeeded at all of them?

Here are a few of my biggies:

1. Carry around a huge totebag of crap in addition to my purse, which is ALSO full of crap. (Usually, except when I have to take work home)

2. Keep a nasty disgutingly mildewy smelling dishrag in the sink for washing dishes (that smell makes me GAG) (YES! I use a well-rinsed sponge or a paper towel)

3. Not have paper and other CRAP laying around constantly (only partially successful). My mom is the ultimate packrat.

'Fess up!

4. I love my momma,
she just did a lot ot irritate me (and still does).

I'm just having a little fun, mo. }(

Her handwriting is extremely pointy. When I was a little girl, I told myself I was going to have soft, fluffy writing.

3. I find myself rambling, well not really rambling,
but adding things to a story or experience I'm talking about when a short and to the point perspective would be sufficient. Once I notice the person or persons I'm talking to eyes start glazing over, I know I've spoken to long and remember my feeling of "hurry up" when my mom is telling me something. Does that make sense??? Love her dearly, she's 88 years old and hanging in there very well.

6. Do you repeat the exact same story the next time you see that person?
My mom is notorious for that.

(but I'm a guy so I'll bow out of this discussion)

9. Depend on a man for her support
She always told us girls to make sure we had a way to support ourselves because you couldn't depend on a man to do it. She had dropped out of high school and was dependent most of her life on men - marriage.

All 3 of us girls have at least some college and have had good careers.

11. Leaning way, way over the counter when talking to service people.
Wear sweatpants in public.

Underplays how smart she is so she doesn't overshadow the men around her.

So far, so good.

12. Well, I loved my mom ...
... but I NEVER:

1. Talk about my health.

2. Complain about others.

3. Put people down for petty reasons.

4. Denigrate people's choices.

14. Love my Mom Lots
I think she is a kind a gentle soul but:

I will not:

1.Spit on a tissue and use it to clean my kid's face.
2.Never just lose my mind over trying to get ready for a party at my house. (OK, I do a little, but never to her extreme).
3.Volunteer my family for things before talking with them.
4.Complain about my husband in front of him with my family in a language he does not speak.(She doesn't do it much but I still think it's mean).

Number 1 I will not do! But then again I have handy wipes for my generation.
