Cigarettes and portable toilets don't mix

BLACKSVILLE, West Virginia (AP) -- A man smoking in a portable toilet lit up more than a cigarette.

The potty exploded Tuesday when a buildup of methane gas mixed with the lit cigarette, said a spokeswoman for Monongalia Emergency Medical Services.

The methane didn't "take too kindly" to the lit cigarette, she said.

Emergency workers said the man was not severely injured and drove himself to the hospital after the stinky, smoky mess.

1. Portable Toilets...

Why anyone would ever voluntarily enter one of those abominations is beyond me. I would rather wear my own feces as a headdress.

2. EEEEWWWWW.... I don't know about your alternative... but I dislike those

smelly, revolting potty boxes.
However, in case of emergency, I have used them.

Those places are horrible, but not nearly as horrible as what you describe as an alternative.

There are lots of people who have no choice but to go into those awful smelly places. And sometimes they even take a quick smoke break in there--where the boss isn't keeping tabs on them.
