Seriously, after spending 24 hours with 2 girls who think something must be amiss about me, I'm damn glad to be back home and amongst friends who know that not everyone needs to be in a relationship!!! I've been dating for 20+ years and I can assure you that I'm never more miserable then when I'm dating!! I mean the best relationships are the low impact ones where you have all the fun but you're not sitting around making expectations like when to call, when to hang out, etc. etc. etc.

Anyone else feeling it like I am??

I've been dating for nearly 20 years too and frankly I'm as tired of meeting the wrong guys as you are. But instead of giving up I just keep hoping that I'm going to meet the right person. I'm really tired of being alone all the time and having to take care of everything by myself. A partner in life would be nice. Would be nice to have someone to keep my feet warm too.

When (and if) you meet the right person I'm sure you'll have a happy and fulfilling relationship.

Until then, why pine for something you don't have? You're happy, well adjusted, you don't need to check with someone before you make plans for the weekend, and no one's snoring keeps you awake.

And when you get that ache in your loins, it should be no trouble finding men who aren't interested in a commitment beyond two or three hours.

15. Hey, everyone's different.

I found the person I'm meant to spend the rest of my life with and I'm happier than I've ever been. But having someone else in their life that they have to worry about isn't for everyone. Your friends just don't understand how that could be. I don't fully understand it either, but I'm not going to criticize. As long as you're happy, that's all that counts. You've matured beyond the point you need someone else to make you happy. That's very commendable and admireable to me.
