Prankster uses plastic wrap as road trap
TOWN OF WAUKESHA, Wisconsin (AP) -- A prankster tightly wound plastic wrap around traffic poles across a two-lane road, causing a motorcycle accident that injured two people.

Daniel Buckel, and his girlfriend, Theresa Brzykcy, were riding south of Waukesha on Tuesday when their motorcycle crashed into the plastic wrap set up 3 to 4 feet above the road -- wound thickly from traffic poles on opposite sides.

Buckel, 22, was within 10 feet when he saw the makeshift barricade, and hit the brakes.

"It's appalling, and it's really frightening," Brzykcy, 19, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "What was their intention? This should make people more aware that pranks like that are not as harmless as they seem."

2. This is a Wisconsin joke
paraphrasing from a Wisconsin native: the worst thing you can hear in Wisconsin is "Honey, hold my beer and watch this"

4. Exactly. When you endanger lives, you're not a "prankster"
anymore. You are a criminal who could end up killing people. Sheesh, where is the common sense?

This is every bit as bad as kids who throw tennis balls off freeway overpasses. These "harmless" pranks have caused traffic accidents and fatalities.

I read about one woman who was driving down the freeway. Suddenly, a yellow tennis ball bounced right on her windshield. She became disoriented and crashed into a nearby car.

5. What an asshole!
sigh. And in Wisconsin, of all places. We're supposed to be better than that. We're supposed to make sculptures of Lombardi out of whey and set leave 'em in the front yards of the Amish after tipping their outhouse over. THAT'S a proper Wisconsin prank.

6. I just had my 9 year old daughter read this to me
So I could make sure she heard the words. I want her to understand how dangerous pranks like this can be to other people!

This one reminds me of something that happened in my town when I was younger. A couple kids were playing pranks. They made a human figure out of clothes and pillows. Tied ropes to the arms of the dummy, and laid it in the road. When a car drove up to it, they pulled on the ropes and made it stand up. There were several wrecks because of this!

7. I'm assuming this was industrial-strength plastic wrap
Like the stuff you wrap pallets in. Not the saran wrap you find in your kitchen.

10. Wait a minute
If it was wound thickly from the poles, they must've had to do a few layers. My question is, who the hell saw them doing it? I mean, you'd think that someone would've reported it. Stupid dumbasses.

There was a case here not too long ago where some men (well, really boys around the age of 19) threw a rock off a bridge into interstate traffic and it actually killed a woman in a van. What the hell is the world coming to?
