Is there a store or service provider you swear you'll never use again
...and then you do? Frequently?

The deli where I usually get my lunch is overcrowded, the checkout people are rude, and the young fellows who bag my lunch are idiots. And yet I keep going?

Am I alone in this?

3. Is it the only game in town?
Or is the food that good?

4. It's just the rut I'm currently in.
It won't be long before I'm sick of it and I'll find a new rut and have similar complaints about it.

6. Step up the rut now and find a new one.
You may well be in another rut, but why take it for granted that a rut is inevitable? No need to stay in one just because you'll PROBABLY be in another one after this.

I used to go to the restaurants in our shitty food court in my building; it was so bad that I searched for anything other than seafood. I found some hidden little dive where the food is killer, it's cheap, and the only hitch is limited English listening comprehension. I just write my order down before walking over there, hand it to them, I have food in under five minutes...

...a rut MAY be forthcoming, but don't just write off the possibility that you can't avoid one. I got lucky with a restaurant, you could too.

5. The deli I used to go to for lunch on occasion is owned by ...
a loud mouthed neocon who can't stop running his mouth about liberals. I've stopped going there for lunch even though the food was good. I've had it with these MF'ers and I'm not going to take it anymore.

7. There's a restaurant I swore off -- but have gone back to.
On the other hand, I have not been to Walmart since I swore it off.
