or are able to get your points across by shrewdness. Because there have been posts at DU that make me wonder about the political leanings of the writers. I know that freepers are lurking here. How many of us post there? I was considering it just for fun.

I posted many posts there. I sometimes got into actual discussions there. I'm a leftist, without a doubt. But there were, at one time, some rightists there who recognized that neo-conservatism is the antithesis of traditional conservatism.

about Kerry's military service, in response to freepheads trashing his service. Post removed, account banned.

A lot of the "non-Dems" lurk pretty openly here. As long as they don't come right out and say "Dems/Kerry sucks! Bush rules!" they keep posting obvious RW talking points. They are obvious. I don't know what they hope to accomplish even if they get to 1000 posts that way. Do they feel that at that point they get to say whatever they want on the board?

9. I've been banned from

freeping three times. It's so hard to talk to those people because they are stark raving mad. They live by the double standard -- if Bush and the GOP do it, it's wonderful, but if a Democrat does it, it's treason or some ridiculous charge.

My favorite banning was when Bush was going to Japan, and I said, sincerely with the best of intentions, that I hoped he didn't vomit on the Prime Minister like Poppy did. Ooops.

on DU. His/Her name was something like "clintons are white trash" or "clinton is white trash" or similar to that.

I have not signed up with them but sometimes read what they are posting. Some real sick m*ther f*ckers over there. I don't know what planet they come. They should all give themselves the Darwin award (hopefully before the start breeding).

There are freepers here with over 1000 posts. They think they are flying under the radar, and that they will someday dramatically reveal themselves (to our great chagrin and despair), but we already have them figured out.

The nice thing about us is that, if they play by the rules, we'll talk to them. Perhaps we'll even change their tiny little minds! :)

I always pretended to be a confused Conservative questioning the latest contradiction or hypocrisy.

The final straw was when I asked how Conservatives could preach about abortion laws and smaller government at the same time.

I asked who they would want to administer and enforce the prohibition.

That got me banned.
