dehydrator is faster...tomatoes work better in the dehydrator than the oven though..and of course fruits are much faster

the whole fun is making different flavors....sweet..peppered...or other spices that you wouldn't get from a shop..for instance..I marinate slices of sirloin in orange, garlic and hot sauce and soy with a bit of brown sugar...and it tastes fabulous!

BTW, ice cream is my fave as well, but I don't do any of the low carb, fat free, etc. If I'm going to indulge, which I try to limit (funny how it often seems to be once a month timed to my cycle ), I go for the good stuff, either Ben and Jerry's or this mom-and-pop shop down the street that has real dairy soft serve.
