F/911 opening nighters - how late were you up DUing Friday night?
I was up till 3:30 and had to pry myself away. So many great discussions - it was the best DU night I ever had!

1. I was so exhausted Friday night, I could hardly keep my eyes
open to read. We went to the St. Louis Jazz Festival Friday evening (we saw John Pizarelli, Oleta Adams, and the Lincoln Center Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra), before I headed out to the midnight showing of F911. When I got out around 2:00 am there was no way I could sleep. I stayed on DU until about 3:30 as well, but I was a babbling fool by the time I signed off.

2. Nice! Incidently...
How was the Lincoln Center Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra?

Another question - do you like dance? Are you familiar with Alvin Ailey's company?

3. The Afro-Latin jass orchestra was awesome.
They tore up the stage. My legs still hurt from dancing with my eight-year old daughter through the whole performance.

Only recently did I start exploring the history of Latin Jazz and Salsa music. These guys were a real treat for someone like me who is new to this rich and wonderful music.

My wife has seen Alvin Ailey's company perform and raved about the performance. I have never seen them, but I'm certain I would enjoy them given the chance.

4. I was just thinking that, from the various threads you and I have been up
your alley. If they're ever in a theater near you sell something to go if you have to. I never really even thought about dance very much untill I saw them.

Unbelievable doesn't even describe it!

- peace
