Any suggestions of a good tv show to watch??
I watch very little tv, but I find myself now (after graduating) having a little more free time and wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions. I mostly watch only news shows when the tv is on, but I also watch The West Wing and South Park religiously when new episodes are on. I'm not a fan of the crime dramas, but I am open to any suggestions! I have tivo so the time that something is on is of no consequence..

2. TIVO IS GOD
Okay now that that is out of my system, if you like Comedy, you should watch absolutely fabulous (on Oxygen and BBC). Also,
Graham Norton just started a new show on comedy channel.

Summer is a bad time to decide to watch more TV, since all the shows are on hiatus.

6. "Monk" is an excellent mystery-drama-comedy

Starring Tony Shalhoub in the lead role. It's on Fridays at 10 PM on USA.

I highly recommend it -- great actors, and very smart and sweet. :-)

11. Sounds like I will check it out
Is it a show I need to get in on the beginning on? AKA try to find old episodes elsewhere first?

12. You could always watch re-runs. . .

But I think every episode pretty much explains itself.

Though you can probably find a show synopsis here to really get a detailed take on what's going on. http://www.usanetwork.com/series/monk/

I think you'll like it. A lot of folks here are with me, in feeling that it's one of the most entertaining programs on TV these days.

7. IFC
I never thought I would like indy films, but this channel (IFC) has the strangest, most interesting stuff I've seen in a while.

8. Run, don't walk toward "Curb Your Enthusiasm" on HBO Larry David's comedy
is divine, (he was "Seinfeld" writer) I dare anyone to sit thru an ep and not laugh, PLUS he's a diehard Lib, that's just a "cherry-on-top" :-)

15. "Sapphire and Steel"
If you like:

X-Files
sci-fi in general
Joanna Lumley (or David McCallum, it depends on your point of view)
and/or
British TV

You'll love this.

It's 15 years older than X-Files, but you can clearly tell X-Files rather borrowed from it...
