A little brag
It's not even me, but it will also make my life easier as I hope to start working again when school starts this September. Anyway, Mr. Belle, after 10 years of working nights to make ends meet around here (he's in the medical field), just got a nice new job in a management position that will be M-F, 9-5, and no holidays. So many times, life has been rough because of his awful work schedule. Anyway, it's a good opportunity for him and makes life easier for everyone else as well.

Plus, he has a cool wife who just bought him a membership to his favorite website (not DU, it involves naked goth chicks), so hey, life ain't all bad.

1. Doing nice things for the people you love
who just happen to also love you, is very fulfilling. Enjoy each other.

2. Maybe this will alleviate some of the stress in your relationship?
That would be a nice benefit to add to a normal work schedule.

3. Maybe
If it turns him into a nicer person anyway (other than when he wants to get into my pants). Actually, today, he's working days at his old job still and asked me to get off the computer by midnight last night so he could get to sleep. I said no problem (it wasn't at all). At 11:55pm, I was wrapping things up when his sighing and hostility set in because I was still on. The things I do are wrong and there's always a reason (even when there isn't one). :eyes:

4. Oh!
Just worked it out... He doesn't have to work holidays, rather than he gets no holidays.

Outof interest how many days holiday (leave or whatever) do Americans get a year? (On average, & roughly)

I get at least 6 weeks a year, according to my contract. :)

5. Let's see
Paid holidays are usually Christmas, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, and Labor Day. I think sometimes President's Day, Martin Luther King Day, and Independence Day.
I think most people here get about 3 or 4 weeks vacation (a bit less than our European counterparts). :)
