1. Episcopalian
1. apostolic succession

2. Rite I vs. Rite II: they both have their good points

3. vestry politics

If you aren't an Episcopalian yourself, you probably won't have the faintest idea what I'm talking about.

3. Judaism

1) Keeping kosher. We have refrigerators now, the little piggies won't kill us.

2) Zionism. The folks who act like this entirely political issue is a religious tenet can line up to blow me.

3) Head coverings. If it's raining, OK, I'll maybe wear a hood or a cap.

4) BONUS: Belief in god. I lack that one altogether.

4. 1. The metaphysical aspects of Bible interpretation
I don't necessarily believe that every story in the Bible has a deeper message than the surface interpretation. Unity is big on this belief.
2. That I am totally responsible for my health and well being. I believe it up to a certain extent, but then I see my sister, who has been suffering her whole adult life from ulcerative colitis and think that this is not her fault, she didn't do anything to create the situation. I don't think that the intention of this belief is to cause guilt in those who are ill, but it ends up doing so anyways.
3. Marianne Williamson's speaking abilities vs. how much money she expects to be paid. Our church has had some serious problems since she quit as head minister and there are rumors of financial improprieties. Considering she gave the same basic sermon every week, and was getting paid $120,000 a year in salary alone-when she quit, the church still paid her for individual speaking engagements. They finally stopped that when they paid her $15,000 for X-Mas (3 services, 6 hours of work) and she threatened to pull out unless they gave her $20,000.
