5. Well...
It wasn't all that bad, some good things happened but a few things went down that have me feeling down. Just lately I haven't been that good at communicating via the internet, outside world I am excellent in that department. I found out a friend of mine is single :bounce: which was the best news, I don't know how that will work out though. What are you excited about? :D

I'm glad you found someone like that, and he should be too. He is really lucky to have someone like you. I may get a chance to see her tomorrow, I've had a crush on her for quite sometime (3 Years in fact) but always been reluctant to take it to the next level for some reason.

10. It's because of the friendship factor.
You're not sure whether or not you want to lose that, but you never know until you try. She'd be lucky to have you!

And thanks! :) It's just the way he makes me feel when I'm with him. I don't want to try to describe it because it's too perfect. We're in a really tough situation and I just hope things work out.

11. I hope it works out for you as well
I know how that feeling is when things seem perfect around a certain someone.

That does make some sense though, she has been a pretty good friend. (knew her for 5 years) The way I found out she was single was she was walking home last night an acquaintence of mine (who I met 3 times) yelled out "Do you have a boyfriend?" she said "No" then he said "want one?" she replied "no". It was tough for me though, it's hard to explain but it's just the way he simplified his feelings for her when my feelings for her are deeper then attraction (she is pretty attractive) y'know what I mean?

Anyways... what did you do this weekend?

Good luck with it!

Friday night, I went to an ex's house (whom I'm really good friends with now) and played poker until about 4AM. Saturday I worked for 9 hours. Then Saturday night we went out to a club and then to a friend's. I will not even tell you how drunk I became. *shakes head* Got home at 5 Sunday morning and I layed around the house yesterday. You?

You don't even know how drunk I was Friday night. That was by far the most I've drunken in over a year(probaly ever), the next day my friend was telling me a bunch of stuff I was doing, that I don't even remember doing! I landed on the back of my head pretty hard (it hurt like hell the next morning) and I didn't even remember how I hit it. My friend told me the next day how it happened and it was pretty stupid what I did. Jose Cuervo is not your friend. Saturday I didn't do much, I kicked it with my good friend Saturday night and didn't do much. Sunday I kicked it with the same friend and that was the night I ran into 3 of my friends (all 3 girls, one of them was the girl I mentioned earlier) so I talked with them for awhile and then ran into a few acquaintances and kicked it with them for awhile.

So what are you doing today?

When was the last time you been on a plane? I have been a little reluctant to even step inside an airport since 9/11 because of heightened security and everything.

Well me, I plan on going swimming in the afternoon with my friend. (I have a bottle of something special ) I'm hoping I get a chance to see her, then me and him are going up to North Mesa to turn in our forums and hopefully get a job. From the evening on well do whatever comes up but I'm pretty sure we'll have fun.

My head still hurts from Friday Night though which sucks :evilfrown:

21. Tylenol.
Take some of it.

I haven't flown since like 5 or 6 years ago. I'm scared and nervous. The whole terrorist thing isn't even what bothers me. If it's my time to go, it's my time to go. I'm flying by myself and I'm worried about being at the wrong gate, missing my flight, etc. I've only flown once before and that was with my aunt.

24. Sounds like good advice
But according to my friend I landed pretty hard, he even said he felt the ground vibrate :scared:

The terrorist thing doesn't bother me, it's just too much security. I like lots of privacy for some reason but I understand people gotta do what they gotta do to keep this country safe. I've flown many times, it ain't bad, just hopefully the plane doesn't land in an air force base! :D

Just keep thinking about him and you should have a smooth trip! :D

My dad is coming down this Saturday and I'm not sure if I should go with him, I don't want to but at the sametime I have some things I need to get back from him (plus I need the car as well) and I want to see some of my relatives I haven't seen in years.

Hopefully she gave a good "talking to" them. In my opinion.. they seem like a bunch of cowards. Using that fear and insecurity they have in themselves and taking it out on others and trying to scare people like you to make themselves feel better. But you never know but from what you are telling me that is the view of I have of them, but I could be wrong.

7. It's not just my back,
it's my front, legs, arms, neck, hands & feet. But a back rub would be a good start, I just wish you were here to give me one.

I saw my old Antarctic chef for the first time in 3 years on Friday night. We got pounced on by a group of women too, but he managed to insult one & they took a huff & left us. It was funny enough for me not to care though.

I managed a casual vomit (puking without breaking step) between pubs too. I think I'm becoming a "Lad", it scary.

Don't feel bad, I ended up with a casual vomit (which I was really lucky) after 6 shots of Vodka Saturday. That just means there was more room left in your tummy! :D

27. G'day, Blondie!
and for me

 :hi:

Did the father's day thing on saturday, took Dad to his favorite steak place. The food was decent, the service was less than--we must have gotten the new guy. My brothers went incommunicado, heard from one too late and the other one stayed home.

My soccer teams (local and national) won their games this weekend. The knee is improving, held up on the weekend long run yesterday. Sprints and intervals for this week.

And, you, adventure weekend is this weekend. Got gatorade?

Glad you had a somewhat decent time for Father's Day. That sucks that your brothers didn't join in the festivities. Are they older or younger than you are? Did your dad at least have a good time?

Be careful with that knee! You really don't want to have to have surgery now do you??

Yes, 4 days until I get to see him!!! They extended his field op until Wednesday so I'm not sure how much 'adventure' we're going to have. Poor guy has only slept 5 hours in the past 3 days. Plus he's all eaten up by bugs and smelly. Looks like I get to play caretaker this weekend.

Dad enjoyed himself, in spite of weak service. My brothers are both younger, the middle one had said well in advance that he wasn't showing up. The youngest had finished 2 weeks as a staffer at a summer acting camp. He returned on friday, left msgs on sat, which was too late. He called home after everything was done.

The knee feels good after 6 miles yesterday, 4 and 2 mile sections. I'll try it wednesday, full sprints and soccer practice.

Haven't started packing yet. I'm already REALLY excited so I figure if I start packing, I'll be even more excited and get even less sleep. I'm going to try to do laundry today and tomorrow. Weekend is both inside and outside. Since his field op extension, he's also found out that he's going to be forced to work for a few hours on Saturday morning. So that's ONE day where he's not going to wake me up at the crack of dawn to run. :eyes: But I have lost 6-7 pounds and I feel a little better. Maybe that'll help.

39. Got some nice pressies
which was more than I expected. Mum is doing much better, but she still went back to work today even though she is not feeling 100% yet.

Alice ( the daughter ) goes from one extreme to the other, one minute she is precious and adorable, the next she is a scowling, screaming banshee. :-)

I hate flying, and now I am more informed I try not to if I can avoid it so as not to make my carbon footprint even bigger ( after the number of flights I have made in my life I probably need to plant a few more trees ).

Flying by yourself can be fun though. Alcohol is always good, but not when you are off to see your man. I reckon a good book can help take you mind off things. Just remember flying is mile for mile the safest form of travel.

Plant a few more trees. That's amusing! Thanks for the encouragement. Can't drink alcohol because I'm not 21 (though I'm sure it would help a lttle). And I thought about the book thing, but I'm sure they'll suspect me as a terrArist when I bring my "Dude, Where's My County" book. Maybe not such a good idea, think I'll stick with a CD player.

50. And there's a lower alcoholic rate as well, right?
Or so I've heard. You know us U.S. people - we can vote but can't drink. Just one of those things.

Let's see. I'll be taking some Switchfoot, Sarah McLachlan, Fuel, and anything mellow actually. Not really wanting to listen too much to annoying music while I'm high up in the air.

54. We are a nation of alcoholics
We are renowned throughout europe for our binge drinking ( and for our riots ).

There are always some sort of weird age related discrepancies in every country. Here you can get married ( with parents consent ), have sex ( hetro ) or kill ( join the Army ) at 16. You have to be 18 to vote and drink or have gay sex.

I have say how sad it makes me feel that I don't have my finger on the pulse of music anymore, I don't know any of "Switchfoot, Sarah McLachlan, Fuel", but mellow sounds good. The last CD I got was Lemon Jelly, although the last few albums I got are on my PC only, The white stripes and The Thrills. I'm after The Strokes next. Damn I'm probably showing my age now, I'm still an indy kid at heart.

56. Not a problem.
Though I've never heard of Lemon Jelly. I do like the White Stripes though. Nice music. You're not showing your age, trust me. You'd think I was a teenager in the 80s, honestly. I'm a huge REM, Def Leoppard, Bon Jovi, etc. fan. I have lots of varied music tastes.

You can get married but can't vote. Wait. married at 16?? Are you kidding me??

58. Nope
You still need your parents to OK it though.

Anyway I'm going offline for a couple of hours now, I have a depressing amount of work to get through today. If I don't see you around DU later, have a really cool day, and I'll catch you tomorrow. I really enjoy your morning post ( I know I've said that before ). I now understand how Guy has got so many posts under his belt, it took me 1.5 years to get to 200, and now thanks to the morning post I reckon I may even become a 4 diget member this year. It is so addictive posting to you ;-)
