3. Yes twice

Like a cross between Venice Beach and a Sierra Club overnight expedition. A lot of truly strange and interesting art, combined with the very rough environment of a desert playa and primitive accomodations. Our first time out we left early - I woke up Saturday morning choking from a dust storm, and had enough.

With better preparation, we survived the second trip very well.

The burning of the temple on Sunday was very moving, more so than the Saturday burning man.

4. Awesome!
They do try to warn folks on the site about cold weather, dust storms, torrents of rain, etc. I guess (I've never been but an intensely curious as it looks just amazing) that one must really be a Boy Scout and be *really* prepared for anything.

Did you drive? I am wondering how folks who fly there handle getting all the supplies / survival stuff they need after arrival. Water, for instance - gallons, and sunblock, art materials, etc. Seems best to drive but could be a looong x-country trip!

Trying to work out the logistics in my head...

6. I know someone who's gone and she's a BurningMan BORE....
She yaks on about it constantly and relates every discussion to it.

7. I have friends who go. Anyone catch the "Reno 911" episode where they go
undercover at Burning Man? Hilarious.
