2. Yes, I did - in Pennsylvania
There was a good bit of fog, and at about 6:30 or so, went out and was able to look at a very filtered sun. Venus was very clearly there- a little to the left of where it is in this image.

I ran back in and went out a different door, ready to wake my family, and by then it was too bright to look at the sun.

Pretty cool thing.

It will be back near the end of Kerry's second term- when VP Edwards will be gearing up his campaign - running on their fine record.

If only it had been clear out! Instead, our entire early morning was blanketed in thick fog, and now it's all over, and I'm disappointed.

sunny as anything here in the UK... my department had a huge pinhole projection thingy set up, tracked the movement beautifully!

One of my colleagues even brought in a telescope, and all we've had is stratus from horizon to horizon.
