A headhunter contacted me today about a job...
A Technical Support Specialist position for a "major corporation".

There'd be a lot of driving involved.

At what point do I ask the name of the corporation? I want to know more about the company doing the hiring and see if I'd be a fit.

I love my current job. Well, most of it, but the atmosphere the management is engendering is sickening and I'm starting to want out. :-( Heck, other coworkers have resigned and some of them have had life-threatening illnesses thanks to the poisonous work environment/morale situation. Of course, my job still has good pay and good benefits, unless this job pays well then I'm stuck at where I'm at...

Should I contact them?

2. Doesn't hurt to listen
To what he's got to say. Eventually he'll tell you about the company, locations and products. Let the company tell you about benefits. Its your life.

3. Be careful....
A lot of headhunters are recruiting right now for 6-7 month consulting gigs for high-tech jobs in Fortune 500 companies. Guess what this takes us up to? You guessed it: the election. This is companies that support ShrubCo artificially inflating the job numbers until after the election.

If you have a full-time job already, be very sure that this one you're considering isn't just temporary.
