So we tell the people . . . we know we messed up . . . but that's so we could get smart . . . like now . . . and do it right from now on . . . And if we say 'We promise,' like all at once in chorus with Dick and Rummy and the whole gang . . . WOW! . . . How CAN'T they all vote for us is what I'd like to know."

1. W. continues his We-F*cked-Up campaign plans, "thinking" to himself:

"Yeah, we'll buy lots of commercial time and have Michael Jackson show us how to dance or something and then we can do a number about all the things we fucked up the first four year, and boy is it impressive or what: tax cuts, gas prices, education, environment, world opinion, a big assed war with no purpose, created thousands of more terrorists, . . . WOW! I'm impressed myself and I was there through the whole thing . . . anyway, we do this big number like a rock video or an opera or something about all the beautiful mistakes we made and end up with a chorus:

We f*cked up!
We really f*cked up big time!

and then we slide to our knees and sing: 'We're sooorrryyyy! We really are.' And then a picture of me comes on and I tell everybody how now we're experienced and won't make the same mistake twice . . . or three times . . . or, in a couple cases . . . about 8 or 9 . . . whatever . . . . WOW. This is the greatest idea I ever had. I can't wait to tell Karl. . . . I'll bet he forgives me all those other ideas that didn't work out so good. . . Gee. Maybe he'll knight me or something."
