I Disputed Another Right-Wing E-Mail Today

I received the following in my morning e-mail:

A Cross on Federal property????

The ACLU doesn't want any crosses on any Federal property.



Let them try and remove these!! What are these people thinking?? At what point do we say, enough is enough? Please pass this on to as many people possible as quickly as you can even if you normally don't do this type of thing. Some messages just need to be forwarded and this is most certainly one of them. Please take the time.

A few weeks ago, a co-worker sent something called "The Real Gomer", with pictures of Jim Nabors "as Gomer Pyle" and John Kerry in uniform. I countered by replying with a picture of Bush carrying a book called "Presidency for Dummies".

You'd think that when they receive stuff like this, especially if
not the first time, that they would attempt to check it out before
forwarding it to a list of friends and co-workers.

Also, I wonder if the company you work for has a policy about
forwarding or originating spam email?

I've been replying for years -- and usually manage to mention the False Witness NON-Protection provision of the Almighty.

It's an effective tool, replying with a rebuttal. I've made many a convert over the course of the late 1990s. And let me tell ya, there are a lot of Christians out there who are fed up with being told that Jesus died for the Republicans alone.

Also, if it's appropriate, when replying to Christian-issue spam, refer to the GOP as the 'Publicans (and note the leading apostrophe) or the 'Publican Party.

After all, Jesus Himself practiced the wisdom of the modern lapel pin: QUESTION AUTHORITY.
