Name 10 things that make you happy
Okay, because I've had such a crappy day (car crash, as mentioned elsewhere; new torture photos and nonstop CRAPOLA from the Bush administration), I thought I'd try not to dwell on my misery for at least a few minutes and come up with 10 things that never fail to make me happy:

1. Laughing and joking around with my husband and knowing he loves me
no matter how angry and histrionic I get
2. Petting my beautiful cats Monty and Simba
3. Watching the birds, squirrels, bunnies and chipmunks enjoying our
backyard bird feeder
4. Cuddling up with a good book and a cup of tea on a rainy or snowy
day
5. Overextending myself in law school and juggling 7 tasks at once
(I'm serious!)
6. Watching bulbs and seeds we planted developing beautiful blossoms
and strong, healthy leaves
7. Watching a romantic Bollywood movie
8. Shopping with my sister and being grateful for the ability to do so
9. Tearing into a good juicy steak and baked potato
10. Knowing there are people on DU who understand how I feel!

What about you?

3. Here goes:
(1) my wife
(2-5) our four children
(6) good books
(7) fire flies on a nice night {saw some last night}
(8) clean water
(9) my dog bringing me a shoe to signal he needs to go out {he's a 100lb German Shepard, no fun to "clean up" after!}
(10) waking up alive every morning, and having another day on earth.

Life is a miracle. Each one of us is part of the miracle of life. It's a great time to be alive. I'm not over-looking the horror that many of our brothers and sisters experience every day around the globe. Rather, I am thankful each and every day, for the good things I have.
