You could be a hussy, and just not know it.
Random factoid of dubious interest: the term "hussy" comes simply from the word "housewife" (or if you're particular, OE huswif became huzzif and so forth), as a mere contraction. Someone started using it in an ironic, derogatory sense (e.g. the housewife who was not particularly faithful to the presumed man of the house), and now we're left with this co-opted term.

So I plan on reclaiming the word "hussy". Subverting its gender! Heck, I'm a hussy most days. Hussies, stand up and be counted! Fear not the scarlet H!

:D

3. I was a hussy once
I worked short night shifts, and took care of our toddler while my wife worked days. Changed diapers and everything. The cloth kind -- had to rinse them in the toilet, then launder them.

Grew weed in the bedroom closet, too, but that probably didn't add anything to my housewife status.

4. I'm not much of a housewife,
in fact, I'm not any kind of housewife - the only domestic thing about me is that I live in a house - but I am a hussy, and am well aware of the fact.

5. I prefer the moniker, "hoyden" to "hussy".
A high-spirited, boisterous, or saucy girl.
