Speedos...should guys wear them? Yes or No?
Too revealing? Very sexy? Or a turn-off? A burning question I need the definitive answer on.

gym already! :D

I also favor short shorts and tight jeans.

22. "Little lady" God, I hate that phrase. . .
A grand pet peeve of mine, has always seems like a way of making my opinions less valid. Men being notorious for not giving a crap what young women have to say.. . .Can't say why exactly, it just strikes me that way -- why "pull rank" in friendly conversation?

27. Sorry bout the 'little lady' quip...
no 'rank pulling' intended. Just my gut reaction to being ordered to the gym so that I may make myself 'speedo-worthy' so that I may be deemed 'hot' by members of the opposite sex... that's all.

My buttons are easily pushed today...

11. Definitive answer - wear something flattering to your body...and don't be
modest! It's a swimsuit after all. I wear one. I hope my dad never does, because he wouldn't look good. He needs board shorts. Some look good in square cut.

Pick your clothes to be flattering. And, modesty is NOT a virtue with swimwear. I despise the entire body suits that Olympians are wearing now. They should just shave and swim. They look really stupid being so modest. Why don't they just wear a spacesuit?!

Otherwise, banana-hammocks should be off limits to the normal population.

On the converse - a girl could wear a ballerina tutu to a nightclub to go dancing, but should she? Honestly? Same logic applies to the Speedo question, if'un ya ask me...

38. Speedos and bicycle pants...
They are proof positive that not all men really ARE created equal...*

I came up with that profound quote at a picnic one time when a guy who was much better served by discretion showed up in Bike pants. Trust me on this--he was gonna pick up more women if they DIDN'T know what his inadequacies were...

The fact that I was drunk at the time may have made it funnier than it really was.

49. I seem to be built for bicycle pants
(and their surf/dive equivalents)

but I'd never presume to inflict Speedos on the world. Even I have my limits -- it'd probably be less offensive to just go bare-bottomed.

41. I wore a speedo once...
ONCE. I was vacationing in the south of France. My ex-wife (who is French), topless, and her two sisters, topless were with me. No problem there. But when the Danish twins (no pun intended) parked their blanket next to us, well ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE....so to speak.

I spent most of the afternoon getting my back tanned. The Mrs. and the sisters thought it was hilarious.

47. Sure, if they feel like it
it's a free goddam country, people should be able to wear whatever they feel comfortable in. As to whether or not I will cast admiring gazes their way - yeah, some of them will receive the benefit of my lustful stare, and some will have me averting my eyes.

What I don't get is why on earth we wear clothes to swim in at all. What an odd thing - it's like wearing clothing to bathe.

52. I think this is a funny question...
When I was a kid, speedos were almost as common as trunks, but they've since fallen out of favor. Back then most men were a bit thinner, and more could get away with it. Even my 70-year old grandpa was weraing them in the 70s. Don't you people remember?

In Europe lots of men still do the speedo thing. I had to give them up around puberty wheen I found that EVERYTHING gave me an erection. If I was in shape, I'd wear them now, but I'm not, so I won't...
