2. Bad things about Islam

I'm sick of being told my faith is terroistic, a 'gutter religion' and that we are all out to convert the world, which is nuts. I'm tired of having to explain, over and over, what Islam is and what it means to me, and that I respect others' faith or lack thereof. The scariest part is the hate behind the words.

It's unfortunate that you have to feel afraid to express your religious beliefs, because of ignorant people who equate the Islamic religion with terrorism. I'm embarrassed for their ignorance (even though they don't seem to be), and I hope you don't feel that this misperception is something thought of all Americans.

I have had *many* Islamic, Middle Eastern, Arabic, Egyptian and Palestinian friends and I have never been so warmly or cordially welcomed as by these people that our government wants to smear with hatred.

I'm left handed, but I always make a conscious effort to use only my right hand when eating with my friends... I try to take cultural differences in mind whenever my friends are with me. And I know that I will never be quite as comfortable again as I uszed to be... because now I carry this country's stain on myself, as well.

I just think that if schools had at least adequate funding, at least adequate facilities, and at least adequate materials then they could achieve at least adequate scores.
