OK it's time for another gas survey: How much is gas where you live?

I'm speaking of regular unleaded.

About $1.80 in Austin, the absolute worst I have ever seen it.

When I came here almsot 6 years ago gas was about .80 a gallon.

Regular unleaded is currently in a range from $1.77 to $1.87 at the local gas stations. And I've seen supreme unleaded at over $2, which I can't recall ever seeing before, but may have just not been paying attention.

I hope that cheney's comment from his days in the House about Americans needing to get over the notion that cheap oil was a good thing really comes back to bite the cheney/bush junta right in the collective ass!

13. Northwest Bergen County/Passaic County, NJ: $2.05-2.19

The funny thing is it's looking a lot like an anti-trust situation here because most gas is around $2.05 (high test), even the discount places. Two months ago, you could find a spread of prices of almost 30 cents per gallon between the stations in "affluent" towns and the discount/no-name places. Now all stations are pennies difference between them.

Prices now show increases of 6 cents overnight. Folks are buying gas whenever they can in anticipation that it will cost more the next morning.
