4. 15/16 but...

when I was very young I used to tell my (Catholic) parents about my former lives. I grew up assuming everybody knew they had been here before. (As a very young child I spoke fluent French without ever being exposed to the language, the legacy of my most recent past life in Canada.)

Boy was I shocked when I discovered that most people don't remember their past lives. The nuns at school and the priests at church told me I was wrong, but I knew better. So at age seven I told my parents I wasn't going to church with them any more because I had always been a Buddhist, and felt uncomfortable with such foolish Catholic nonsense as "original sin".

Surprisingly, they respected my decision, and I've been a practising Buddhist for the 52 years since then. In this lifetime, at least.

You may not believe in reincarnation, but think about this...

Dr. Ian Stevenson (retired Child psychiatrist, professor and Chairman from the Univ. of Virginia Medical school) has some 3000+ case studies of children who claim to remember past lives. The average time between the death of the previous personality and the birth of the current life is 14 months.

Bush was born 14 months after Hitler died.

Coincidence? Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions. All I know is that the first time I ever saw George Bush I reacted with a deep visceral fear. I suspect he might be Hitler reincarnated.
