2. Well, more than anything else...
I do try to use potatoes. I find that they are somewhat helpful.

After that, yellow mustard, onion, food-processored hardboiled egg, onion, grated carrot, mayo and celery seed. Mix with hands and chill.

Yum.

16. I'll bring the futon
and the remote control. In that special state of mind, you can use it to control other people, weather, and events. No electronics needed.

If it doesn't work, smack the remote around a little. Eventually it does work.

19. Horseradish, oh. I'll try that next time.
For something a little different, saw something similar upthread

red new potatoes, unpeeled and cooked until just barely tender
chives if you have them, green onions chopped fine, if you don't
fresh dill, or dried if that's what you have
garlic, powdered or fresh, if you have any of that
a little dill pickle juice
chopped egg whites, no yolk
sour cream
dry ranch dressing with enough milk to blend it, or the bottled stuff if that's what you have
bacon bits
a little sugar
a little salt
a little pepper
black olives if you have them

It makes a pretty white potato salad

A lot of our cooking is "it's better if you have this, but that other thing will be fine too"
