Calling all DU insomniacs!
It's a rather slow Sunday night and we need to know who's awake! So, you poor people that can't sleep, start checking in! I've got 11:50pm eastern. (sorry chair, I couldn't resist tonight) :) :bounce:

13. You must understand what home is
Chicago suburbia. I do not have a car and I have no idea where the library is. I cannot find it in the concrete jungle. The closest I can think of is going into Barnes and Noble and reading for six hours, but they don't have computers with free internet access there.

Stupid republikkkans.

37. Football in this country is observed as a god
which I strongly disagree with.

My outlook on life:

Sports are not God.
bu$h* is not God.
God is God.

But you are more than free to disagree with me; I'm not a fundie about it either.;)

38. I don't disagree.
I think that SOME people mistake football for more than what it actually is. I think that SOME people take it WAAAAY too seriously. But, I was pretty much raised on it (not to mention cheerleaded for it until I got chubby at the end of middle school) so I came to like it. Plus, around here, it's a tradition to watch UT football. And I'm not one to break tradition. :)

39. Heh heh heh, I see what you mean
I am an easily pulled in by the "anti-bandwagon effect," meaning that I will almost reflexively oppose anything that becomes too popular or ritualized.

Example: Michael Jordan has forever stained the Chicago Bulls in my eyes.

Also a big chunk of why I distrust fundie-ism, hehehe. :)

40. Can see that point too!
I used to be that way (fight hard against the bandwagon) but it's just football. A bunch of guys running around in pads and tight pants. I'm a girl. :) It's not THAT bad.

Not a fan of Jordan either. Gets on my nerves just as bad as how big Shaq used to be (not used to describe his height - we all know the boy is still a biggen').

Since my job doesn't start until 11:00 a.m., I stay up late every night. My hatred of getting up early is one of the reasons I've stayed at this job for close to five years now. Well, that and the fact that my landlord likes it when I pay the rent every month!

I agree with the anti-bandwagon thing...

Dean, I envy you. I am *such* a night person and have been forced into some morning-ness since having a kid... hubby let me sleep in today for mother's day, so now I'm up all night :D

I think my real sleep cycle is more like 25-26 hours... I can stay up later and get up later, progressively, every day. I don't know how long that cycle goes, never tested it (being diabetic makes that hard). But I wonder if I could go all the way around the clock and become a morning person? ;)

52. Hey, you're not alone
I believe that when humans are removed from all external stimuli (sounds cruel, but some people have actually VOLUNTEERED to live in a cave with lighting, temperature, etc held constant), the natural circadian rhythm runs about 24.5-25 hours.

However, in the real world, the circadian rhythm "resets" itself in response to day and night; maybe your body doesn't really notice and/or respond to these things.

53. I've seen that!
I don't remember if it was on TV or a video for class or what, but I remember watching about those experiments. I think I'd actually try that for awhile, excepting the diabetes making it a bad plan, necessarily. I'd love to know what my body would do. Then again, I also know part of it is my own fault, for getting caught up in things and not going to bed, like being awake right now :)

I haven't been further east in the US then 1-25(Colorado, sorta actually Miliken, Colorado to be accurate). btw where is U. Tennessee at? I liked their cfootball team since I was real young, my aunt went there btw. At the Fiesta Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium(about 6-7 blocks from where I am at) some years back my uncle got tickets to see Tennessee vs Florida State College Football National Championship game. I got a National Champs Tennessee hat and everything.

138. Wow, awesome!
UT is in Knoxville (well, the main campus is). I'm about 15 minutes from it.

140. That's cool
Tennessee was one of the top colleges on my list that I would like to go. I have about 7 or 8, don't know if I can get in any of them but I'll try.

141. You can do anything..
As long as you put your mind to it. Seriously. I want to go to UTK, it's just going to involve going to Comm. college first.

146. Pretty much same here
I know, I'm trying to focus but I know something is going to come out to try and knock me down but I'll find a way through. I'm going to try to get into Mesa Community College this fall, still only about 470 more pages to go in my SAT "Higher Score Guaranteed" book. It really does give you great hints, it teaches more on how to tests rather then the information. I'd recommend it. I'm going to try to get on the team and try to get from college from there, I'm not sure if I can do a big university but I'm confident I may be able to. I wish I could go to Glendale Community College, it has one of the top Junior College teams in the nation which means more coverage and attention for them. Anyways, If I was magically delicous I'd send you every bit of luck I possibly could for your corner. :)

147. I can't sleep.
Apparently, someone left one of the doors to the ferret cage open, and one of the little darlings got out. My husband awoke to the sound of him digging in the cat's litter box about an hour ago, and he naturally had to wake me up to tell me.
