Crud. I wasn't chosen for new job.
I was one of four finalists for a new position in my line of work that would have given me a $13k raise and I wasn't chosen. Oh well, I'm in line for the next similar opening I guess. Just venting.

2. Hope it wasn't for your perceived politics.
After the fractious 2000 election where I had a dream job in Florida, my obvious political stand marginalized me with the brass and by mid 2001 I was forced to resign. Haven't held a job since, but started my own company, and now we are close to actually being profitable after a looong hard slog. Thank God for my beautiful wife's continued earnings!!
