10. Helena...
...is a real pretty town on the south end of Last Chance Gulch, with a fine neighborhood of Victorian homes and mansions, a very quaint old downtown with good shopping and good food. The "On Broadway" for wonderful Italian food; the "Windbag Saloon" for great sandwiches and salads (it used to be a brothel); a gold-mine era alley with shops and galleries, an exhibit of gold mined out of Helena at one of the downtown banks, a tour train that goes out to the Capitol past Gary Cooper's house, a first-class theater complex named after Myrna Loy, a bakery with delicious croissants (Sweetgrass Bakery), a jazz festival, and lots of other features and amenities.

16. great pic
I drove accross the whole of Montana that summer - the summer of 2000. It was surreal. I saw a tree burst into flames right along the interstate outside of Missoula.

And I mean it just burst into flame...like a firework.
