I live in Richmond, and my contribution to this thread is to mention that the Richmond City government is the most corrupt I have ever seen in my 52 years on earth. Oh, and a lot of people here are racist, and I resent it when they think I am like them just cuz I'm white.

7. Yup. And there's more. Amherst County Courthouse had 2 sets of mens

and womens rooms, with the "white" and "colored" blocked out on top. The building was "rehabilitated" about 10 years ago with one less restroom per gender.

8. HB 751

The Virginia House and Senate passed, by over 2/3rds, HB 751. It not only says the state won't recognize same sex marriages or civil unions, but specifically prohibits any "partnership contract or other arrangements that purport to provide the benefits of marriage."

So, no wills, no power of attorney documents, no estate planning, nada. I love being a second class citizen.
