"Hamburger-loving Americans, would you take your family to Fuddrucker's?"
Fuddrucker's is this amazing franchcise in Texas. It's a hamburger place where they have all sorts of hamburgers on the menu with some of the best fries you'll ever have and the ingredients that you can put on your hamburger salad is numerous.

here's a link to Fuddrucker's:

2. where was that fuddruckers?
The ones in San Antonio and Laredo are very good. Whenever I leave for a flight in San Antonio, I'll often ask my dad to drop me off early so I can get a bite of food at the Fuddrucker's in the airport before I leave.

3. there was a fuddrucker's where I grew up
I remember they had a window into the freezer so you could see the big slabs of beef hanging.

But still the best burgers I've ever had were In 'n Out, a SoCal chain.

http://www.in-n-out.com/

Come west and have a Double-Double, fries, and a shake! Hamburgers, fries, shakes, and soda pop are all they serve.

22. I never understood
what was supposed to be so great about In-N-Out. Paper thin burgers which fall apart. I'd rather have Fuddruckers.

6. I've had them both and they both suck
Edited on Mon May-03-04 02:31 AM by Must_B_Free
Fuddruckers is laden in so much grease inside the restaurant, it's gross. Powdered shake mix pooped out of a machine, fast food style? Big deal.

In'n Out also pretty gross if you don't eat it while it's hot enough you won't even want to eat it at all.

As with any fast food, an hour or so after you eat it you start to feel sick and your stomach hurts.

And don;t leave the bag in the car overnight or it will seriously smell like someone took a dook in your car.

9. Ground Beef.....
I dunno the whole concept of ground beef never appealed to me. Think about it, all the prime cuts of meat are gone. What you get is the leftovers that are ground up. I admit I do eat fast food once in a blue moon. Mostly I am trying to not eat meat and live a healthier vegeterian lifestlye with meat on ocassion.

17. I love Fuddruckers
Make mine a half-pound Lincoln County, medium-rare, on one of their delicious home-baked buns.

With a basket of bacon cheese fries and ranch dressing on the side.

OH, yeah.

18. they're all over the country
I ate at one in Virginia Beach, VA when I lived there in the mid-80's. I remember the sides of beef getting ground as you watch. *feels the DU vegans cringe* :P

Saw one in Montana once, and one down in PHX.

But I haven't eaten at one since VA back in '87 or so. I do remember liking them though.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmburger......

Of course, me and my sometimes juvenile friends call it "Ruddfucker's".

20. LOTS of people call it that
And the chain snob thing wears thin. There are just as many shitty indie resturants (they mercifully go out of business quicker), so dissing chains doesn't make you some kind of gourmet. Even within chains, there isn't always the uniformity like everyone believes, especally when some are franchised, and the management has sway over the suppliers' ingredients and so forth.

25. I almost went there once
But there were too many little yard-apes running around. I didn't know what the restaurant's concept was, but I was afraid that I had pulled up to a Chuck E Cheese's for the 8-12 set, so I bolted for the comfort of a bar.

29. Fudd's
We have one in Annapolis and it's ok. Until Red Robin and Johnny Rocket's opened at the Annapolis Mall food court across the street I would have said Fuddruckers was great. Now however I think that Red Robin has slightly better burgers of the "gourmet" variety and Johnny Rocket's has a better "greasy-spoon" version (better onion rings too). Just my 0.02 cents.

30. NO WAY. Why?
Because everytime I've been there, the place has been overrun with thousands of four-year-old soccer brats and their oblivious parents.

Mrs. V. likes the place. To me, the burgers aren't worth it.
