Saw Jello Biafra last night here in Denver
Although I agreed with every last word he said, he didn't tell me anything new. I was bored to tears.

1. I've noticed that about him, too.
Biafra's last two spoken-word collections told me very little that I didn't already know. However, I think that says more about me than it does him. Thanks to the alternative press and the Internet, I know a lot more now than I did when Biafra first started doing spoken-word albums.

2. Absolutely...
I loved No More Cocoons and High Priest of Harmful Matter way back in 88/89 or whatever it was. I mean there I was at 14/15 getting exposed to something that no one had ever told me about before (I'd been listening to DK since about 85 when I found Plastic Surgery Disasters in the library, but hadn't really and truly grasped a lot of the political points Jello and crew were making; hey I was in Canada, what the hell do I know about Jerry Brown) and those two records just blew my head wide open. I mean they truly helped me get a better understanding of how the world works. So thanks to Jello opening my eyes, and coupling that with the internet, it's much easier to find out about the things he talks about.

However, I still love the fact that he keeps keeping on, cause hopefully he's doing the same thing to a 15 year old kid that he did to me; turning the lights on in that kid's head.

Oh yeah, and don't buy any of the bogus DK releases coming out nowadays.
