HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROY ORBISON!
The greatest white rock 'n' roll singer of all time (IMHO, anyway) was born in Vernon, Texas on April 23, 1936. Shame he had to die so young! :cry:

my local PBS station frequently runs the video of Orbison's Black and White Night ...

check out the personnel playing with Roy:

"Jackson Browne, Burnett, Elvis Costello, k.d. lang, Bonnie Raitt, J.D. Souther, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, and Jennifer Warnes, along with the rhythm section from Elvis Presley's fabled late '60s and early '70s touring band."

The guitar solos on "Down the Line" are remarkable ...

It's really a great compilation of music ...
