Don't worry, I won't jump on you if you aren't. Cheapness is one of my pet peeves, though, and I'd consider myself in the middle of cheap and generous. I try to be cautious.
Let's just say that I don't buy much anymore for my flaky, crappy maid of honor who makes tons of money but couldn't bother even getting us a card for our wedding.
The Panhandler Magnet... Last week I was approached and had to decline as follows: "Sorry, buddy; I got cleaned out a black ago." I'm not kidding! He understood.
16. I am careful in a family that loves to spend it.
My husband made good money and I did not even spend that. My father made good money and I was still careful but I have lent or given my children enough to keep me broke and I really do not care. If I can pay my bills I am happy and I never buy new stuff but do have a fondness for books. So I guess I am cheap from lack of interest. I drive cars until they have over 300,ooo on them and my clothing falls apart. I drove my mother and my husband nuts.
