Computer question.... avi files
I have an avi file that wont play right. It plays the audio but not the video. Does this on both Windows Media Player as well as Real Player. Anyone know how to fix it or another solution to view it? Or do you need more info to know what I'm talking about. :) Any help appreciated.

1. Update your codecs
Probably is using a newer codec than you have. Time to update.

2. You probably need new Codecs...
Specifically, a DIvx codec, and if that doesn't work, Xvid codecs... Get them and www.divx.com or just google it.

3. you need to know the codec that the .avi was digitized with
you might check out some other players too.

I recommend the VLC Player, or The Playa from www.divx.com

8. Install Nemo Codec Pack
http://nimo.titanesk.com/modules/freecontent/index.php?id=1

Get Build 8

It includes an automatic installer for the most popular codecs and filters used to play movie content.
