Suse 9.0 or Mandrake 10.0?
I have a spare multi-GHz notebook I want to convert into a non-windows back-up over a wireless LAN.

Anything you can recommend or watch out for?

It will come with the 2.6 Kernel and a better set-up routine. :hi:

Edit: somehow mixed up the version numbers.

2. I was testing suse 9 yesterday.
It was on a demo boot disk. It boots the OS without installing it. It's pretty neat. I haven't used mandrake. This is also the firt time I have used a Linux version not from Red Hat.

3. I Haven't Used It Before
Unless you count the UNIX on an IBM mainframe.

I'm just tired of dealing with people outside of the US who can't understand what my problem is and the learning curve associated with "Engrish."

I'd much rather depend on myself than any over-priced shill from the GOP telling me where and why "I" screwed up his "bundle"...again....
