One thing to keep in mind about Freepers
Every time I think about Freepers I get mad. However, I don't have to be. Let's compare:
1) We have the momentum,
2) They're subhuman.
It's as simple as that. Next time you get upset at what some idiot Freeper said, just remember that we've pulled WAY ahead in the last year, and they are subhuman maggots that only deserve to be laughed at and humiliated in public. Easy.

1. Subhuman? I disagree. They're all too human, sadly.
Dehumanization of groups of people is one of the early steps on the path to genocide.

6. Perhaps, and I understand what you say
However, when you encounter a group that has as one of it's tenets (in effect) a fundamental feeling of superiority over the rest of the world, then they IMO tend to remove themselves from the qualities traditionally considered "humanity"-charity, compassion, empathy, etc. They do have none, given their number of posts talking about how whoever is the "enemy"-whether it be Iraqis, Afgans, terrorists, French, even liberals-should be killed off. IMO at this point they give up their rights to be respected, due to a fundamental lack of respect for anyone else that isn't part of their officially OK'ed group.
The word subhuman is strong, but 1) they use it all the time on other people, and I frankly like to turn it around on them, and 2) uncivilized just doesn't cut it.

2. I wouldn't call them subhuman
They are, presumably biologically members of our species. But they are vile hateful idiotic scumbuckets.

7. Yeah, I can live with humanoid n/t

On edit: your pic is a perfect example. Here we have someone holding a flag, smiling and waving at everyone, wearing a t-shirt that advocates killing everyone in a nation, infants, children, and handicapped included. She clearly thinks she's doing something wonderful, given her expression. To some people, advocating killing of millions is a virtue, like helping the poor. Perhaps even better.

4. That's what many of them do--demonize entire groups
We're better than that.

5. I loathe Freepers as much as anybody.
But the "subhuman" crap really rubs me the wrong way, even if we're talking about those who call us "subhuman".

8. Whatever we call them, their vile anti-American prevarication based
philosophy must be DEMONIZED WITHOUT EQUIVOCATION.

Their politics are NOT ACCEPTABLE in human society in the 21st century.

If they want to be classified as human, they need to start acting human.

We don't need to genocide them physically, but their anti-human, anti-democratic, anti-American movement must be flushed from the Earth and the Collective Unconscious.

9. BTW see my post #6 for more of an explanation
as to why I said what I did.
I don't want to "dehumanize" anyone any more than anyone else here does, but what I see coming out of the Freeper camp is every bit as intense as Nazism in 1930's Germany. And it is my opinion that when people go that far away from civilization, they lose something in their humanity.

11. My heart broke yesterday....
First because my son is now a freeper. He's quoting limballs and o'reilly, and he called Kerry a communist with ties to jane fonda. We had a heated argument over his stupidity. He thinks bush is great and that the US has to kick everbodys's butt around the world, like bush is doing. America is the supreme being. It was just aweful. My son is a lawyer. He grew up in a family of human rights activists.

Second because he gave a huge engagement diamond ring to his girlfriend. A person our family has doubts about. After my son said those horrible this mentioned above, I think that this girl, her family and son really belong together. Her family of racists go back to the time when Black Americans were strong up from trees, and it was a joke to her family. Her family makes me sick.

12. I understand
My sister has become a Freeper, and thinks we are on a holy mission in the Mideast to rid the world of the non-believers.
This is my sister that I grew up with, that I shared a lot of pain with, and now she's "given herself to Jesus", and * can do no wrong ever.

14. What shocks me is,
my son was always a leader, now he's a freeper follower. His grandma must be turning in her grave. He's not a jesus follower, just has his own beliefs. Nothing he learned from me. Of course, he argues like a lawyer and doesn't allow a word in, and no matter what you say, he calls you a communist. I was very close to punching him across his mouth. Something I've never done in my life. It really hurts to see my son go wrong.

16. Ask him if he's familiar with the concept of "Stockholm syndrome"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome

I think that accounts for some of the popular support for shrubco.

13. From experience, you can not really talk to the poor guy right now.
If we were to live in their perfect little world, either Himself, or their son, or someone they really care about is going to end up drafted, and then reality is going to set in all too quickly after that. Same type argument happened to me and my brother, about Vietnam, and he had to lose an arm in the jungle before he saw things differently.
