Lou Dobbs on Cnn "The Selling of America" has been good lately..
Edited on Tue Jan-06-04 06:50 PM by Gin
talking tonight about the bush plan to offer work to illegals if there are employers who need them..matching worker to work...Lou Dobbs said it's devaluing what it means to be an American citizen.

Bush knows how to devalue things doesn't he?

1. I've been finding myself watching Lou a lot lately...
No idea on his political views, but in my profession (IT) his coverage of offshoring has struck a sensitive chord.

4. remember when Dobbs had on Daryl Worley to perform "Have you forgotten"
live in the studio, during the build of to the Iraq war, with patriotic pictures and images fluttering in the background.

That was not his finest moment. I'll never forget that.

6. How about tonight's segment on the crashing dollar?
The woman shill explained it as "America's recovery has now moved overseas...what a boon to the metal markets...the price of gold is up!" Right! So is the price of imports, you ass!

Next came Stieglitz - aka Noble Prize winning economist who worked for Clinton. Lou went into his "ask a 30-second question and allow a 5-second response" mode. Disgusting. But Stieglitz still made his point - NAFTA isn't a whole cloth disaster if the economy is being well managed and new jobs are being created as happened under Bill.

Lou got rid of him with the old "I want to have you back on again...and soon" ploy.

7. Forgot GOP vs Dem: Dobbs is a real American Working Class Hero
We should all support him. He is alone among the elite corporate media in exposing the treasonous treachery of the corporatist Free Traitors.

8. I don't agree with Lou's politics but he is a man of integrity
He wants to do the right thing. He is often wrong about what that is, but in this day and age merely trying to be good has to be enough.

9. Maybe Dobbs should have thought of that...
Before voting for Bush and then continually bashing truth tellers like Krugman...

Dobbs is scum, and this "selling of America" has been done by his GOOD friends on Wall Street...

I'm waiting for a down-on-the-knees mea culpa from this mobbed up Repug whore before even considering him a human being.

10. Well, RB give me Dobbs over Matthews, Scarborough, or whoever else
GE trots out to shill for the Corporatists. I'm always glad to take what few moments of true news we can get. Dobb's just doing a list of the American Corporate Jobs going overseas is enough to get him hung for treason in Bush America. Yeah......I know...how does he get away with throwing us a bone?

It doesn't matter because he's a leas alowing a "drip...drip....drip."

Who else in the Whore Media even dares to talk about it unless like CNBC it's touted as "A GOOD THING FOR THE MARKETS!"

I give Dobbs a big pass on this one. It's something....at least.
