NBC coddles republicans...AGAIN
They just ran a story on republican senator Stevens of Alaska and charges that he may have used his position in cogress to enrich himself. And NOT ONCE did they mention his party affiliation.

Why do I just know they would have mentioned it repeatedly if this had been a Democrat? :eyes:

2. I stopped watching NBC news
when Tom Brokaw practically gave bush* a hummer on prime time tv with that cheesy tour through the white house.

7. I hate Browkaw's voice
More than anything I hate his smugness.

I think all of them at NBC have a serious ego problem.

Katie Couric used to be enjoyable to watch. Then the NBC handlers got hold of her to make her look less perky and more serious, and she just can't pull it off.

8. Katie Couric is still great - and the only one I trust at NBC
THE GE controlled election coverage of 2000 blew away any credibility from those involved.

12. You like Katie when she
puts on the phoney "serious reporter" look... you know the one furrowed brow, pursed lips, lower voice and slow deliberate words?

I wonder how long it took her to learn this.

She is trying to be the next Barbara Wawa. God help us if she succeeds.

10. no, she can't
she f***ing sucks when she's not in her nauseating cutie-pie role which, by the way, is wearing WAY THIN.

5. I don't normally...
watch ANY of the networks. Hell, I'm not usually home from work before the news is over plus I hate the networks anyway. But I'm home sick today and the news was on and I was flipping between the big 3 and happened across the Stevens thing. This is why I should NEVER watch the network news - it always drives me nuts.

4. The obvious filtering
of the "news", is why I haven't watch any of it in the last 15 years.

IMHO, gemsnbc is the worst offender.

6. GE owns NBC
GE is one of the biggest defense contractors. Bias? Any other questions?

I don't watch them either. Scummy.

11. Bias? At the Nuclear Broadcasting Company?
NBC's owners, GE, are (in addition to being major defense contractors) the biggest producers of Nuclear Power plants...
Which makes them the Navy's biggest (most money) single contracter, given that the US Navy is the worlds biggest operator of nuclear power plants (one per submarine, two per carrier except Enterprise, which has 6...)
