Neo-Nazi group takes message to turnpike (Florida)

The same violent neo-Nazi club that inspired the Oklahoma City bomber is advertising for new members on a billboard in Orlando's back yard.

On Florida's Turnpike, just over the Lake County line in Sumter County, there's a plain billboard with a black background and big block letters in the style of the "Got Milk?" ads.

It reads in part "WHO RULE$ AMERIKA?" Then it gives a Web address.

That goes to the home page of the National Alliance, a group founded in the early 1970s as a spinoff of the American Nazi Party. (Spelling America with a K is a nod to German Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.)

The Anti-Defamation League and other watchdog groups call the National Alliance the most violent and dangerous homegrown terrorist group in the United States.

who owns the sign says there`s nothing he can do because it`s "free speach" i thought he owned the sign there for he`s the one who decides what can be placed there..interesting if he let an oppisite organization put up their statement.

3. Usually when people invoke

the "free speech" argument, it means free speech for THEM, and what THEY believe, and free speech for others only as long as it agrees with THEIR views. And when the owner says there's nothing he can do because of "free speech", what he really means is that he doesn't want to bother with it, or he's afraid of pissing off the white supremacist group responsible for the sign.

I was born and raised in Milwaukee most physically segregated city in MidWest when I grew up. I marched with Father Groppi for open housing as a teenager. I got gassed near Lincoln and Muskeego Ave. About a year later I was asked to join a highschool SDS Chapter at South Division H.S. And all the while musicians were breaking down the racial lines, so was I by sitting in with some great blues artists like Johnny Young and "Big" Walter Horton.
OTOH, I knew some people that were neo-Nazis and extreme racists.
They wanted to recruit me! They were part of the NSWPP, some of them were Milwaukee cops circa 1968-69 grandkids of The Bund.
