Polls for Bush don't mean squat
A lady on one of my local boards reported she got a call from a pollster last week. First question was "What do you think about the job President Bush is doing?" Her choices were dislike, like, good or great. She answered with, "Hate." The pollster then thanked her for her time and hung up.

So perhaps that is why Bush's poll numbers are so high? I know it was probably a Repug poll but the fact that they didn't go any further when she was going to be negative is rather smelly to me....

1. They keep polling until they get the numbers they want...

And if there is a negative poll the media won't report it as often.

It will get a mention at 2 in the morning...

2. Well, yes, there are Push Polls
Which this sounds like. But let's be honest with ourselves--there are some things that people like about President Bush. And after catching Saddam his numbers are going to take a little bump. But I wouldn't worry about it lasting too long; the failures of President Bush's policies continue to stack up.

3. I don't pay attention to polls
Like medical researchers pursuning grants, the pollsters will report only those statistics that reflect their own agenda.

What I pay attention to more is the dwindling presence of American flags in the area. Mari went to a peace vigil at the Post Office at noon today, and says that 90% of the drivers who went by flashed the peace sign.
